Polish-Italian-French Triple Diploma Programme in the field of Economics

Main assumptions

The Polish-Italian-French triple diploma programme (known as the triple diploma for short) implemented at the master’s (second-cycle) studies in the English-language version of the Economics major was established in 2017. It is implemented by the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń together with the Faculty of Economics and Law of the Università degli Studi di Macerata (Italy), the Faculty of Law, Economics and Management of the Université d’Angers (France).


How does it work in practice? Programme organisation

Programme organisation:

  • I semester – programme is conducted at the home institution
  • II semester – take place at the University of Macerata (Italy)
  • III semester – at the University of Angers (France)
  • IV semester – at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń

All classes are conducted in English. During their stay in Italy and France, students have the opportunity to receive financial support from Erasmus +.

The prerequisite for both diplomas is for FESM at NCU students to complete the study programme, prepare a master’s thesis (in accordance with FESM rules) and to take the diploma examination.

Recruitment rules

Recruitment of students to participate in the programme is carried out by each university on its own. Recruitment at FESM at NCU takes place in the first semester of a given academic year. It is based on an interview conducted in English (used to find out the motivation of applicants to participate in the programme, their general knowledge of current economic and social problems, as well as their knowledge of Italy and France). The following criteria are taken into account in the selection of programme participants:

  • First degree grade point average
  • English language proficiency level (minimum B2 level)
  • Student and extracurricular activity (eg, activity in scientific circles, organizational activities for the faculty, charity activities, etc.)
  • Level of proficiency in French/Italian (not required, but would be an asset).
