According to Order No. 109 of the Rector of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń of 27 May 2020 on preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 among community members of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, from June 1, 2020, the restrictions on the functioning of the Faculty during the epidemic are changed. Courses and diploma exams will be organized in an online form. In justified cases, some classes and exams may take place in traditional form (under strict sanitary regime). Administrative support for students (only on issues that cannot be dealt with remotely) and the possibility of consulting academics in the Faculty building will also be restored.
As a result, the Faculty authorities introduce the following rules:
- staying at the Faculty should be limited to the minimum;
- moving in the Faculty is allowed only for people who wear a properly fitted protective mask (or other fabric that precisely covers the mouth and nose) and after disinfecting the hands with a liquid located at the entrance and keeping a distance from the other person (min. 1.5 meters);
- it is prohibited to enter the building to persons accompanying the students (except for the guardians of disabled);
- each student entering the Faculty is obliged to have a student ID card with them;
- there is a limited number of people who can stay in individual rooms - it is absolutely necessary to comply with the information placed at the entrance to a room;
- office-hours of academic teachers take place in Room I ( it is necessary to set an individual appointment with a lecturer);
- classrooms, where exams and classes are held, will be opened in advance (15 minutes) – after entering the building, students must immediately go to the classroom and take a prepared place that has not been excluded from use for sanitary reasons;
- a student taking the diploma exams in traditional form is required to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled exam time;
- students are required to have their own pens;
- after completing the exams/classes, students must immediately leave the Faculty building;
- a foreign student who wants to pass the exam in online form (even if the exam has been scheduled in traditional form), should inform the teacher in advance (before the date of the exam);
- all documents to the dean’s offices should be sent via e-mail. In case of matters that cannot be dealt with remotely, students should set an appointment individually (by e-mail or phone) with the appropriate employee of the dean's office;
- anyone who shows signs of coronavirus infection should remain at home and contact the sanitary and epidemiological station or infectious department (phone: 112 or 999). In case of the presence of such person in the Faculty, he/she has to be immediately informed of the need to consult a doctor by going there by own transport or by notifying the emergency department (phone: 112 or 999). A person showing signs of infection and waiting for transport will be temporarily isolated in a specially prepared room for this purpose. It is necessary to notify the sanitary and epidemiological station of each case of this type.
The above rules – in accordance with the Rector's Order – are valid until September 30, 2020.
