At the turn of the year new editions of world university rankings confirmed the leading position and the stable international reputation of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń among Polish universities.
In the latest Transparent Ranking, based on the top 10 most cited researchers from a given university according to the Google Scholar database, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń took the 849th place in the world and turned out to be the best Polish university in this ranking.
In the QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia ranking, the NCU took the 88th position (significantly improving from its last year’s 107th place), remaining in this ranking the thirteenth university in Poland. In the ranking prepared by one of the three most prestigious ranking organizations - QS, the following criteria are taken into account: opinion of lecturers and employers, the ratio of the number of students to the number of lecturers, quotation of publications and the percentage of foreign lecturers and students.
In the January edition of the Webometrics ranking, which based on a complex indicator examines the presence of academic and research institutions in the Internet, our university was listed on a good 762th place, also maintaining 7th position in the country. The ranking is published by Cybermatrics Lab, a research group from the Spanish National Research Council based in Madrid.
