Dr. Robert Matusiak's doctoral thesis was awarded in the Central Statistical Office President's competition for the best master's and doctoral thesis in statistics.
The competition is organized by the Central Statistical Office. Sixteen master's theses and 12 doctoral theses were submitted for this year's edition. The competition works were evaluated according to 10 criteria specified in the competition regulations, including: the theoretical and cognitive significance of the work, the significance of the work from the point of view of practice - especially the Central Statistical Office, the significance of the work from the point of view of knowledge of socio-economic phenomena, the degree of originality of the development of the topic, the degree of difficulty of the development of the topic,
The competition committee awarded Dr. Robert Matusiak second place for his dissertation entitled. "International taxation and the localization of Polish foreign direct investments", whose supervisor was Dr. Małgorzata Jaworek, Professor at NCU, and whose associate supervisor was Dr. Andrzej Geise.
