A series of investment workshops coordinated by Dr Magdalena Kuczmarska, PhD from the Department of Investment and Real Estate was recognised in this year's AACSB 'Innovation that inspire' competition.
The workshop program was designed to develop the competencies of the students, emphasizing the practical aspects of investment project management. Underpinning the program is the belief that being a good investment project manager is not just about knowing project management methods and techniques - it is also important to understand the nature of the investment process. This requires knowledge from a variety of disciplines, including economics, management, law and construction.
The project was divided into 3 parts. The first part focused on three thematic blocks: the management of investment projects, based on experience in the construction industry, legal aspects of the investment process and marketing strategies of residential property developers. Later, the project participants made a training visit to a construction site. As part of the third part, the project partner offered four-week internships to several people who had stood out during the previous meetings.
The partners in the series were APRO Construction and APRO Investment. Both companies were honoured as 'Forbes Diamonds' in 2023 and received additional awards from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Chamber of Construction and the Mayor of Toruń for their projects.
More information about the project is available on the AACSB website
