Semester Modules - YUFE Minor is a set of thematically related courses from which students choose their own activities (‘open studies’) to fill the semester (30 ECTS). A compulsory element is the Challenge Course, a Project-Based Learning course, where students work in teams of several people to solve a real problem faced by a local community or a specific stakeholder. The project work will be supervised by specialists - both academics and experts from outside the university.
Participation in the YUFE module is free of charge. Classes are conducted onsite, with the option to complete some activities online as well. The trip is funded by Erasmus+ (guaranteed mobility grant), there is the possibility to apply for additional funding from the IDUB fund. Knowledge of English at B2 level is required, as it is the language of instruction.
YUFE Minors are offered by each of the partner universities (i.e. in England, Finland, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium or Cyprus). However, I particularly recommend that you take an interest in the Modules that are most similar to the programmes of study offered by the Faculty, so that the Minor will be an added value for students rather than a burden.
Students interested in participating in the Modules should register on the YUFE Virtual Campus portal, and having an account there already, they will be able to choose a specific Minor. Please be aware of students' registration dates, due to the rules and deadlines of academic international exchange and possible differences in the academic calendar of the destination partner university.
The entire YUFE Module offer is available on the YUFE Virtual Campus.
