The ‘Investment Attractiveness of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship’ project, carried out by FESM, NCU, has been recognized in the ‘Innovations That Inspire 2025’ competition, organized annually since 2015 by AACSB International.

The project was implemented by the following employees of the Department of Investment and Real Estate of FESM, NCU:

- Associate Małgorzata Jaworek, PhD Eng. (project leader),
- Associate Włodzimierz Karaszewski, PhD,
- Magdalena Kuczmarska, PhD,
- Associate Marcin Kuzel, PhD,
- Małgorzata Szałucka, PhD,
- Associate Małgorzata Krajewska, PhD Eng.,
- Professor Ewa Siemińska.

The project, commissioned by the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone in Gdansk, was carried out in cooperation with the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship office and the commune of Brzesc Kujawski.

It is worth mentioning that in the ten editions of the competition, FESM, NCU was the only AACSB member university in Poland to be awarded (three times). Besides our school, only one Eastern European university was awarded in the whole competition's history.

The award-winning innovations (a total of 26 in this year's edition) will be widely presented at the annual AACSB ICAM 2025 conference to be held in Vienna, Austria, on April 7-9. At the conference, FESM, NCU will be represented by Małgorzata Szałucka, PhD.

Moreover, Aranka Ignasiak-Szulc, PhD – Associate Dean for International Cooperation, together with Associate Małgorzata Jaworek, PhD – project leader, at the invitation of Ronald Tuninga, Vice President and Managing Director of AACSB for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), will participate in the ‘2nd Round Table for Business Practice Research and Education’ organized by Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, on May 14-15, 2025, where this project will be a case study.

Through the ‘Innovations That Inspire’ challenge, AACSB highlights ways that business schools are transforming the face of higher education. The competition focuses on different topics every year. Past years’ programs have focused on business school engagement, knowledge co-creation, societal impact, the business schools of tomorrow, and unique value for stakeholders. The 2025 selections feature innovative ways that business schools are partnering with businesses, government entities, or NGOs to solve complex business or societal challenges, or to advance the way business education is taught.
